HOT POSITIONS - at Sea

Assistant Engineer
The Assistant Engineer is responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer in the maintenance, operation, and repair of all vessel electrical and mechanical systems onboard ships. The Assistant Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer and will assist the Master in communicating and enforcing all company policies and procedures. Complete job description

Chef
The Chef is responsible for overseeing all staff and functions within the galley. The Chef will coordinate and participate in all galley activities in regard to food preparation, inventory, ordering, and cleaning under the direction of the Hotel Manager. Complete job description

Deckhand-Licensed
The Deckhand-Licensed is responsible for maintenance and cleaning of the interior/exterior of the vessel, and assisting with small boat operations/driving small boats with guests. In addition, the deckhand will assist with bridge watch/navigation, perform hourly security patrols including nightly engine room inspections, and assist with general boat operations. Pastry Chef
The Pastry Chef is responsible for overseeing all baking and related preparation and presentation (primarily breads, pastries and dessert). He/she will also assist the Chef with crew meals, plate-up and galley cleaning as assigned. This includes some dishwashing responsibilities throughout the day. Complete job description

Steward
The Steward is a multi-talented and hard-working position. Main job responsibilities include: meal services, cleaning of guest cabins and interior public spaces, assisting with bartending/cocktail service, and occasional galley duties. HOT POSITIONS - on Land

Accounts Payable Coordinator, Seattle
The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for all Accounts Payable functions in the accounting department including: verifying invoices and GL codes, reconciling vendor statements and petty cash/credit card statements, and issuing checks for payment. This position will also prepare the AP register and other related reports, and research payment and/or vendor issues when required. The Accounts Payable Coordinator serves as occasional backup for other positions on the accounting team and helps facilitate the completion of financial objectives. Complete job description

Land Operations Administrator, Juneau
UnCruise Adventures operates eight small passenger vessels throughout multiple itineraries year-round. During the months of April-September, six of these vessels dock in Juneau on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The Juneau Land Operations team works to assist the vessels with their various needs, from provisioning support to luggage movement with a constant focus on guest service and vessel support. Vessels dock in Juneau Friday-Sunday with up to two vessels per day, the largest of which has 88 guests and 31 crew. Complete job description

The Nautical Operations Manager (NOM) helps ensure the onboard Deck Department is crewed in accordance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and guest expectations. Port Captain, Seattle
The Port Captain serves as Nautical Operations liaison for overnight passenger vessels, as assigned, within the company’s fleet. The Port Captain is the direct supervisor of assigned vessel Masters and assists with ensuring each vessel is crewed, operated, and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and guest expectations. The Port Captain helps ensure the safe, cost effective and environmentally sound marine transportation of passengers via oversight/monitoring and coordination of daily vessel operations in conjunction with the Director of Nautical Operations.
