We are a seasonal company and do most of our hiring for our summer season at the beginning of the year, however, we accept applications year-round to fill open positions. HOT POSITIONS - at Sea
The Assistant Engineer is responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer in the maintenance, operation, and repair of all vessel electrical and mechanical systems onboard ships. The Assistant Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer and will assist the Master in communicating and enforcing all company policies and procedures. Complete Job Description

The Chef is responsible for overseeing all staff and functions within the galley. The Chef will coordinate and participate in all galley activities in regard to food preparation, inventory, ordering, and cleaning under the direction of the Hotel Manager. Complete Job Description
Expedition Guides are part of a cohesive team whose goal is to inspire guests and help them understand and appreciate the areas they visit during their cruise. Guides are supervised by the Expedition Leader and Lead Guide and work in teams of 2-5 members, along with the full vessel crew. Primary responsibilities include guiding and interpretation, onboard presentations and narration, and behind the scenes daily maintenance and programmatic tasks. Topics range from geology, glaciology, and marine biology to cultural history and current issues in local destinations. Expedition Guides lead groups of guests on hikes ranging from shore walks to route finding or bushwhacking, skiff tours, snorkeling, and paddle boarding, as well as whole and half day kayak trips. Expedition Guides take ownership of delivering an unforgettable vacation experience to guests through sharing their knowledge, guiding excursions, and exemplary customer service, with an emphasis on safety. The Licensed Deckhand is responsible for maintenance and cleaning of the interior/exterior of the vessel, and assisting with small boat operations/driving small boats with guests. In addition, the deckhand will assist with bridge watch/navigation, perform hourly security patrols including nightly engine room inspections, and assist with general boat operations. The Pastry Chef is responsible for overseeing all baking and related preparation and presentation (primarily breads, pastries and dessert). The Pastry Chef will also assist the Chef with preparing crew meals, preparing and presenting savory items, plate-up and galley cleaning as assigned. The Sous Chef is responsible for assisting the entire galley team in all food preparation and galley sanitation efforts; this includes prep, production, plate up, and clean-up of six meals per day (3 guest meals, 3 crew meals). This multi-tasking position will also assist in the preparation and service of baked goods, all crew meals, and must be capable of executing a variety of cooking skills on a daily basis. The Wellness Instructor is a customer service representative who is responsible for providing massage, yoga, and stretching to clients on vessels carrying between 36-86 guests. The Wellness Instructor is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the workout space, massage cabin, and exercise equipment. HOT POSITIONS - on Land
Guest Services Representative - Juneau, Alaska
UnCruise Adventures operates eight small passenger vessels throughout multiple itineraries year-round. During the months of April-September, seven of these vessels dock in Juneau on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The Juneau Land Operations team works to assist the vessels and guests with their various needs, from provisioning support to luggage movement with a constant focus on guest service and vessel support. Our Port Captain serves as a Nautical Operations liaison for overnight passenger vessels, as assigned, within the company’s fleet. In this role, you will be the direct supervisor of assigned vessel Masters and assists with ensuring each vessel is crewed, operated, and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and guest expectations. You will help ensure the safe, cost effective and environmentally sound marine transportation of passengers via oversight/monitoring and coordination of daily vessel operations in conjunction with the Director of Nautical Operations. You are tasked with managing the nautical side of program development for vessels as assigned, and ensure that vessels have standardized systems, processes, and documentation for efficient operations in all destinations. Port Engineer - Seattle, Washington
The Port Engineer is responsible for planning and managing maintenance and repair work of all vessel electrical and mechanical systems onboard assigned company ships. This position also includes daily management of multiple shipboard Chief Engineers and Assistant Engineers. This is a full time, year round position based at the company headquarters in Seattle and requires periodic travel throughout the year (to Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon and Mexico) for emergency relief, ship-check inspections, departmental audits, and skills training. Reservation Agent/Sales Counselor - Seattle, Washington
You will work closely with guests, travel agents and wholesale partners over the phone and through email to share the UnCruise Adventures small ship soft adventure experience. You will provide exceptional customer service while responding to inquiries, answering questions, making bookings, taking payments, etc. with the goal of bringing each conversation to a booking.
