Boutique yachts and small ships on adventure cruises carry two-person sea kayaks, paddle boards and motorized skiffs for close-up exploration. Guests may be as active as they wish, from kayaking and skiff excursions, to hiking, snorkeling, paddle boarding, beachcombing or enjoying the scenery from the comfort of the lounge, spacious deck or on-deck hot tub.

Enhancing the experience are naturalist presentations and a friendly and knowledgeable crew. Shipboard amenities may include an underwater camera projecting marine activity to stateroom and lounge televisions, fitness equipment, yoga mats, resource and DVD library and hot tub.

Southeast Alaska: April - October 2018

With a focus on exploring the wilderness outside the vessel, activities include kayaking, hiking, stand-up paddle boarding, skiff explorations, beach combing, whale watching and polar bear plunges. All vessels except the Safari Explorer and Safari Quest have been outfitted with custom-made EZ Dock kayak launching systems able to quickly and safely launch four kayaks at a time. Safari Explorer and Safari Quest provide water access from an aft swim step.

Hot tubs situated outside on deck provide a spectacular setting for guests to relax and take in the scenery. Each vessel has fitness equipment, resource library, DVD library and board games. An underwater bow camera streams video to televisions in guest rooms and the lounge. Healthy and hearty meals feature fresh ingredients including locally caught sustainable seafood.
