UnCruise Adventures Unaffected by Big Ship Ban Will Be the Biggest Cruise Operator in Alaska for 2021

Small is Big These Days. The Leading Small Boat Cruise Line Has More Departures in Alaska, Than Any Other Company!

SEATTLE, WA. February 24th, 2021 – UnCruise Adventures, an innovator in small boat adventure cruising for 25 years, announces its 2021 Alaska season amid big cruise ship disruptions. At a press briefing, the company CEO Captain Dan Blanchard laid out plans for a strong and highly anticipated sailing season with six ships and one on reserve for increased demand. The cruise line will launch Alaska with a full schedule starting on May 10th, offering 7-to-14-night itineraries from Seattle, Juneau, Sitka, and Ketchikan. The adventures highlight remote exploration through pristine environments such as Alaska’s Inside Passage, Glacier Bay National Park, and the Tongass National Forest.

The six adventure itineraries launching the 2021 Alaska season include:

  • Eastern Fjords & Glacier Bay – 14 Nights
  • Inside Passage & Glacier Bay Wilderness – 12 Nights
  • Alaska’s Glacier Country – 7 Nights
  • Alaska Fjords & Glaciers – 7 Nights
  • Northern Passages & Glacier Bay – 7 Nights
  • Glacier Bay National Park Adventure – 7 Nights

UnCruise Adventures had worked tirelessly with local, state, and national health authorities to lead by example in testing and small boat cruise safety, now and into the future. The award-winning brand is confident in their ability to operate safely with proper protocols, it’s triple test pre-boarding program, enhanced sanitization and COVID compliance procedures are all provided on their website. The identified areas of focus are:

    • Pre-departure PCR test with two boarding day Antigen tests. Antigen tests are also available onboard the vessels.
    • Sanitization and ventilation upgrades.
    • Mitigating risk to guests and crew with off vessel adventures and no port calls. This creates a true bubble for guests and crew.
    • Quarantine response contingency plans.
    • Crew Vaccinations.
    • Emphatically encouraging guest to receive pre-cruise vaccinations.

At this time, major Big Ship Cruise Lines will not operate in Alaska this summer due to the Canada ban. This has not affected UnCruise Adventures as it is a US company with US flagged vessels and US crew. The company also sails with under 100 guests. More on the company’s safety, full sailing schedule, and cruise availability can be found at uncruise.com.
