Steward Goes Kayaking
I had just finished up with my early afternoon tasks when I got the urge, as I often do, to head out in a kayak to experience Alaska up close and personal. I grabbed a kayak skirt and life jacket and headed out onto our fantail. While I was out there, I came across our Wellness Instructor, Chella. She was heading out with Allison, one of our expedition guides and asked me if I would like to join her on a Guided Kayak.
There was no question about it, knowing that Allison, our guide, would show us the best hidden spots and point out even the small things that make Alaska so amazing.

So, with our wet gear on, camera secured safely and paddles in hand we began our afternoon paddling adventure.
The first thing we spotted was a bald eagle sitting proudly atop a tree. We paddled hard so we could get closer and before I knew it, he took off right over us. The best part was that he swung around and came right over the top of us again!

Allison then guided us along the shoreline to a spectacular, breathtaking, roaring beauty of a waterfall.
The roaring waterfall!
If you haven’t been to Alaska yet, you must come. And if you have been, I can’t wait to see you again!
