It’s that time of year again, and if you’re booked on our Hawaiian Seascapes cruise, chances are you’re getting pretty excited about it. And of course you should be – it’s a true adventure! You'll have opportunities for snorkeling, kayaking, skiff rides, cultural outings, hiking, and wildlife viewing.
At the start of the Alaska season, we send a crew up to Patterson Lake to check on our kayaks left there over the winter. This is remote Alaska. These kayaks were helicoptered in to Patterson Lake in spring 2011, in time for our first Active Adventures on our expedition vessels. This is quite the excursion for our guests.
On Saturday, Un-Cruise Adventures partnered with Puget Soundkeeper Alliance (PSA) for the first time to clean up garbage in the ship canal. The PSA has been organizing the Spring Sweep, the largest clean up event of the year, since 2003. With our participation this year, the Ship Canal was added as a clean up destination for the first time, complementing their efforts in Lake Union, Portage Bay and Union Bay.
It has been a glorious few days here in Seattle. Perfect for kayak training! We met up with the expedition guides of the Wilderness Adventurer this afternoon as they were setting off for an afternoon of kayak training.
