We made our way to our snorkel spot. Minutes into our ride, we heard an exciting radio call from our expedition leader in the skiff in front of us.
As we back paddled from the magnificent creatures, I couldn’t help but yell in excitement, “this is a once in a lifetime experience!”
The road home from Halawa Valley twists and winds, rocking everyone in the back seat to sleep. Around every turn stretches a new vista, a feast for the eyes to add to the bounty of the day’s activities in the oldest inhabited valley in all the Hawaiian Islands.
Leave your previous expectations of Hawaii behind and bring your adventurous spirit for this cruise through the lower Hawaiian Islands.
