The Safari Endeavour travels north from La Paz, Mexico to a cluster of guano-covered volcanic rocks jutting out of the sea like a medieval fortress. As the ship approaches in the early morning, the guests awaken to the barking of California sea lions. Overhead through a sapphire sky fly a swarm of blue footed boobies, magnificent frigate birds, and brown pelicans. This is Los Islotes, one of the many treasures of the Sea of Cortez.
