An UnCruise guest paddle boarding in Hawaii

Hawaii Cruise Activities

Come to the Hawaii you’ve never experienced before: High sea cliffs lining the shores of Lana‘i. Underwater coral gardens off Olowalu. A clear pool at the base of Mo‘oula Falls. Hike, swim, kayak, paddle board, snorkel, and sail your way through a paradise like no other. Our inclusive Hawaii cruises feature these activities at no extra charge. With our small ship well stocked with outdoor recreation gear, we invite all our guests to get in on the fun.

Greg Solatorio welcomes an UnCruise Adventures guest to Halawa Valley on Molokai in the Hawaiian Islands

The way of aloha

Members of the Solatorio family welcome you to the ancient Halawa Valley, where they live, farm, hunt, and fish. “Talk story” with them, then pound fresh taro into poi, or hike to a climactic waterfall in one of Molokai’s most historic places. Round out the day with an evening pa‘ina (feast) and a Hawaiian jam session.

UnCruise guest snorkeling with green sea turtles in the Hawaiian Islands

Gear up with a snorkel and flippers, and duck below the surface to discover coral gardens teeming with underwater life. Spot yellow tangs and butterflyfish in sheltered volcanic bays. Along the coast of Olowalu, mingle with friendly green sea turtles getting their shells cleaned by local fish nibbling away at built-up algae.

Kayak & paddle board

Hawaii’s warm waves and dramatic volcanic coasts create an idyllic environment for going out in a tandem sit-on-top kayak. Join a guided paddle to a planned destination, or explore at your own pace on an open paddle. Find your balance on a paddle board when conditions are mellow.

Take a hike

Whatever your activity level, we have a hike for you—everything from quiet strolls to rugged climbs up to sweeping cliff-side viewpoints. On LanaŹ»i, walk on sea cliffs near Sweetheart Rock, a sea stack high above the crashing surf. Take a two-and-a-half-mile trek through a lush valley to a waterfall. Hiking poles provided.

Ride skiffs

For an easygoing adventure, step off the beam and into an inflatable skiff. Expedition guides offer insights into the history, geology, and ecology of the islands as you discover ancient volcanic plugs, sea stacks, and lava tubes. Keep your eyes open—you never know when a passing dolphin or whale might pop up to say hello.

Hawaii’s public lands (and waters!) protect a wild array of fascinating places and creatures. Hike the misty slopes of a volcano, walk to centuries-old petroglyphs carved into lava rock, and scan the horizon for humpbacks in one of the world's most important whale habitats.
