UnCruise guests on a skiff ride in the Bahia Agua Verde, Mexico

Mexico Cruise Activities

Cousteau and Steinbeck did their own deep dives. How will you delve into the world’s aquarium? Colorful fish, sea turtles, and sea lions call for a kayak or snorkel. On land, mule rides through the arroyo and treks up the ridge take you to the most rewarding vistas. Our inclusive Mexico cruises feature these activities at no extra charge. Bajas’ blend of desert and sea is an adventure-seeker's paradise.

UnCruise guest snorkeling with a sea lion pup

Spot damselfish, pufferfish, and sergeant major fish in snorkeling 101. Stick with the group or poke around the reef for a look at what just swam by. At Los Islotes, craggy cliffs are topped with rafts of sea lions. Get in gear and join the party—and be ready to play. These curious pups are known to nip a flipper or two.

Mule Rides

Unique to Baja’s Bounty, mule rides through Bahia Agua Verde let you explore the landscape like locals. The Romero family, who has been leading these trips for generations, set you up with a mule just your size. Saddle up and sit tight as your mule leads the way through desert, beach, and a secret green oasis.

Paddle Boarding & Kayaking

The calm water of Isla Espíritu Santo is the place to give paddle boarding a go. A few tips from your guides—"eyes on the horizon"—and you’re off. Easy stokes bring you closer to the family of crabs skittering across the rocks. And if you’re eager to cover more ground ... sea, tandem sit-on-top kayaks await on the beach.

An UnCruise group hiking on Isla San Francisco

Palo Blanco bushes and cacti. Steep red bluffs and sweeping desert beaches. Rocky arroyos and scramble-worthy ridges. All are enticing possibilities for hikers, from beachcombers to experienced trekkers. Multi-hour climbs reward with 360-degree views, and easy beach strolls are peppered with crawling critters and hummingbird sightings. Lace up and see what’s out there. Hiking poles available.

Beach Parties

If you like our adventures, you’ll love our beach parties. Isla Espíritu Santo’s secluded cove begs for a beach towel and a cold drink in hand. If you feel like exploring a bit, we’ve brought out the kayaks and paddle boards. An evening beach party celebrates the night sky with a bonfire, warm beverages, and a constellation lesson.

UnCruise guests encounter a gray whale

Whale Watching

Fin, blue, and sperm whales, and dolphins all call the Sea of Cortes home. By ship or by skiff, have your binoculars ready. When the gray whales arrive on Baja’s west coast, head across the peninsula for a panga ride in Bahía Magdalena lagoon. Mom and baby whales are eager to say hello and show off their flukes—and everyone has a front row seat.
